History

The British Ladies Club of Luxembourg (BLC) was formed in 1969 by a small group of women living in Luxembourg. Despite its name it is essentially a social-networking club for all levels of English speaking women, living in and around Luxembourg, regardless of their nationality.

One of the primary aims of the BLC is to help newcomers settle into Luxembourg life and to provide social contact for all. The Club has approximately 500 members only half of whom are British. We also have members living in France, Belgium and Germany, especially close to the Luxembourg borders.

Our members ages range from women in their early 20’s to women in their 60s or over.   All  are from a wide range of backgrounds with various experiences in business, home life, travel and life experience.

The Club is vibrant, varied and successfully responds to peoples interests and needs. Members are encouraged to set up a group or activity which specifically interests them.  We have found that this helps members to formulate friendship and support networks which fit their own individual needs.
