Health

group

The Well Baby Clinic
Organises antenatal classes, hospital visits and "mums, bumps and babies" which is a chance to meet other mums and mums-to-be for a chat and a cup of coffee.

 

 

Health & Healing Group
The group meets periodically for social events and demonstrations and talks on health and wellness issues. You can join their mailing list for the trimestrial newsletter

 

Breast Cancer Helpline
English-speaking ladies are here to offer advice and their assistance in many ways. We are not counsellers nor professionals but we can give practical information and support, and sometimes it just helps to be able to talk to someone who has had a similar experience

 

La Leche League Luxembourg
Offers support and information to mothers wishing to breastfeed their babies. English, French, German, Luxembourgish and Japanese is spoken. For details of monthly meetings and twice-yearly second-hand children's clothing and nursery equipment sales, please consult their website

Womens Interest

Book Group
They meet every three weeks on Thursday evenings to discuss a book they have all read in advance. The books are mostly modern novels, but they are open to suggestions. Meetings are informal and the book is often a springboard for wider discussion. New members always welcome.

An international group of women, most of whom are employed, and which hold monthly evening meetings on work related issues.

  American Women's Club of Luxembourg
The AWCL state that their "mission is to foster and encourage social, educational, cultural and philanthropic activities among its members in Luxembourg and to assist in furthering American-Luxembourg relations". The club has its own clubhouse and organises a variety of social and charitable events and activities. Its members are international
  Greenheart Toastmasters Club
A group meets to practice and improve public speaking, presentation and communication skills the first and third Monday of the month at the Chambre de Commerce, 7 rye Alcide de Gasperi, Kirchberg at 7.30pm. Guests are welcome.

National Women's Register
A group of women who meet informally once a month to discuss interesting topics, both lighthearted and serious.

 

Luxembourg School
Support Group

For English speaking parents of children who are being educated in the local state systems. Information packs and evenings are regularly organised.

 

An adult education programme for your spare time to try somrething different. All classes are conducted in English

The Anglican Church of Luxembourg
Sunday worship is held in the chapel of the Convict Centre, 5 Ave. Marie Therese, Luxembourg. 9.30 am: Holy Communion (said service) 11 am: Holy Communion (sung service)+ Sunday School + crèche.

Children's Interest

Telstar Scout Group
Offers a wide range of activities in English for boys and girls aged 6-18 within the framework of the world-wide Scouting Movement. Adult help needed, no experience necessary, training provided.
  Friends of Guiding in Luxembourg
This is a group of people (parents, friends, supporters, members) who support the ideals and aspirations of Guiding. The members may not necessarily have ever been members of the Guide association but are people who wish to support guiding. They often help spread the load of the local guiders by helping to raise money and run events in Luxembourg. They may also meet as a group and have their own social events
  Playgroup
For children aged 2 years and over to meet and play with other children the same age in a safe and child friendly
environment.
  British Guiding in Luxembourg
We are an English speaking group offering fun, friendship, cooking, crafts, camping and outdoor activities for Rainbows (age 5-7) Brownies (age 7-10) and Guides (age 10-14).
