Ref: Your name + Christmas Lunch
I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your helpers for the lovely time spent with you all on Wednesday. There is always a good atmosphere at the Christmas lunches and it is so nice to see people one possibly hasn’t seen since the previous lunch.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023.
Another BLC Christmas lunch is behind us. As it usually happens early in December, I personally see it as my introduction into the festive season, together with the Luxlait eggnog and the Marche de Noel, giving me permission to get into the Christmas feeling.
It’s a wonderful event I look forward to for months in advance and devote the morning to getting myself ready; choosing a dress followed by accessories, applying make-up, making sure I have a lift to the event and back home so I can enjoy my glass of crémant.
The most brilliant thing is that although the sitting plan is random, placing you at the table with ladies you mostly don’t know is always an enjoyable experience with the conversation flowing as if by magic and new friendships being forged. The paper crown, the joke and the gift coupled with a visit from the British Ambassador, mince pies for dessert and carol singers makes it exquisitely British even for the non-British among us.
At the moment, your Committee is already plotting the next luncheon so by the time December 2023 comes, all will be ready to welcome you into the warm embrace of Christmas festivities.

I would like to register to attend the Christmas lunch. I would like to have menu A. As I am a member of the committee I will be sitting at the table with the committee.
Thank you
